Waterville Public Library

The Maine Poetry Express is returning to Waterville, ME!  Select Mid-Maine youth, college, and adult poets will read their original poems at this third annual event. Maine Poet Laureate Wesley McNair will be our honored guest at this community poetry celebration on Thursday, April 2, 2015, 6p-7:30p. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

The purpose of Maine Poetry Express Waterville is to shine a light of awareness on poetry in the Mid-Maine region, to come together as a diverse community to celebrate poetic thoughts, and to bring recognition to our area poets of all ages. Maine Poetry Express is an initiative of Maine Poet Laureate Wesley McNair and is supported by the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance. 

The 2015 Maine Poetry Express Waterville collaborators are Colby College Special Collections, Colby Center for the Arts and Humanities​, Waterville High School, Waterville Main Street​ and the Waterville Public Library​
