July 7-25th: Art That Nature Makes by Rosamond Purcell

Artist Reception: Rosamond Purcell!

The L.C. Bates Museum and the Waterville Public Library will have exhibits featuring photographs by Rosamond Purcell. At the museum, photos from her book “Egg and Nest” will be on display. The library will feature work from the incredible book “A Glorious Enterprise”, exploring natural history and the making of American Science. Both exhibits begin on July 8th and end  July 25th. Pay two great institutions a visit and view some stunning artwork! 

 Please join us at the Waterville Public Library on Monday, July 11th, for a reception for Rosamond Purcell’s exhibit, “Art That Nature Makes” from 11am-1pm.  

Come explore one of the lovely natural history locations where photographer Rosamond Purcell has worked, the unique and fabulous L. C. Bates Museum! Any MIFF patron with a ticket stub or pass can come to the museum for free during the festival. Also on the day of the Wednesday, July 13th, you are invited to come for BIRD PHOTO DAY, when photographers are welcome to visit the museum to take avian photographs.
